Here are some ways that you can make time for yourself - and remember - it doesn't matter how small that time is, make it precious:-
- Go for a walk - get out of the house if theres lots going on, and distance yourself for a few minutes - the exercise will also be great for you and you will feel rejunvenated
- Take a bath - lock the door so you have no interruptions
- Read a book or your favourite magazine
- Get up 20 mins earlier
- Go to bed 20 mins earlier
- Book in me time into your diary as you would any other appointment - and don't let yourself down by missing it
- Take some time to breathe, and perhaps meditate
- Record your favourite programme and make sure you spend time watching without interruptions
- If you work from home, think about having some me time during the day rather than waiting for the evening - its more likely to be done then, and you will feel refreshed afterwards
- treat yourself well day to day - eat well, treat yourself now and then, and simply enjoy life!
